Company Description

GeoSnake | AI Optimization helps businesses understand and improve how often their brands appear in AI-generated answers. Focusing on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), the company enables organizations to be found, mentioned, recommended, and cited by AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. GeoSnake provides visibility into the AI search landscape, tracking brand mentions across LLMs, measuring AI visibility scores, comparing competitors, and analyzing sources, sentiment, and keywords. The platform turns AI visibility into measurable, actionable insights so business owners can see where they appear, how they stack up against competitors, and what information needs improvement. GeoSnake is designed for the shift from traditional SEO to GEO, helping businesses prepare for a future where customers rely on AI assistants for direct answers rather than just search links.

Role Description As a Backend Developer Software Engineer at GeoSnake | AI Optimization, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services that power our GEO analytics platform. You will work on building APIs, data processing pipelines, and integrations with external AI and SEO tools, ensuring robust performance and reliability. Typical responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable server-side code, optimizing database queries, implementing authentication and authorization, and contributing to system architecture decisions. You will collaborate closely with product, data, and frontend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment workflows. This is a part-time remote role, offering flexibility while expecting consistent communication, ownership of assigned tasks, and adherence to best practices in software engineering and security.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience with backend programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or similar), and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong understanding of databases and data storage (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL systems), including schema design, optimization, and query performance.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure; containerization with Docker; CI/CD pipelines; infrastructure-as-code tools).
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and application performance monitoring, with the ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML or data-intensive products, especially integrating with LLM APIs or analytics platforms, is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort with secure coding practices, authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT), and handling sensitive data responsibly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and openness to feedback and iterative development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
