Role Description The Full-Stack Software Developer will work in a full-time, hybrid position based in Coventry, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications across both front-end and back-end layers. The role involves collaborating with trainers, consultants, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable software solutions that support training platforms and client projects. The developer will write clean, testable code, integrate APIs and databases, optimize performance, and troubleshoot technical issues. Additional responsibilities may include contributing to technical documentation, participating in code reviews, and supporting the continuous improvement of internal tools and client systems.
Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development for building and maintaining complete web applications.
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including server-side logic, APIs, and database integration.
  • Experience in Front-End Development using HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to create responsive user interfaces.
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, and code review processes.
  • Experience with common web frameworks and languages (e.g., Python, .NET, Node.js, or similar) is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between on-site work in Coventry and remote tasks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
