About the Role

Job Title: Software Engineer II, Frontend

Team: Web Platform and Family Hub

Employment: Full-time

Location: Remote, U.S.

Reports to: Director, Engineering

Salary: $122,000–$170,000 in NY/CA/WA; $122,000–$145,000 in CO

The role focuses primarily on web application development, particularly building and improving experiences using React and Next.js.

The engineer will also participate in deployment and operational phases of the software development lifecycle, rather than focusing only on frontend coding.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

3+ years of software development experience.

Track record of technical leadership.

Strong frontend/web development background.

Experience developing applications with React, Next.js, or Remix.

Understanding of application design and development.

Experience with modern build tools.

Experience with testing and CI/CD.

Ability to contribute to technical strategy and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Design and implement high-quality web experiences.

Translate mobile functionality into effective web experiences.
