Software Developer (PHP / Symfony / React)

I’m partnering with an international sports technology company to hire a Software Developer for their internal applications engineering team. The team builds the robust, scalable platforms the business runs on. This role focuses on services that improve how data flows across the company and that automate finance-related business processes.

What you’ll be doing

• Building high-quality services and products that streamline internal data flows and finance processes
• Working across the stack with PHP, Symfony, React and TypeScript
• Having real influence over design and technology choices
• Using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor and others) as part of everyday work
• Building deep domain knowledge in an exciting, data-driven industry

What we’re looking for

• Proven commercial experience with PHP, Symfony, React, TypeScript and SQL
• A habit of writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code (TDD, XP practices)
• An agile mindset focused on delivering working software and improving continuously
• Curiosity, a can-do attitude, and enjoyment of collaborating with a diverse team

Nice to have

• Cloud-based applications and microservices
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• Testing at multiple levels (unit, integration, performance, contract)
• AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, ElastiCache) and Terraform
• Experience or enthusiasm for using AI in development or product features
