About The Role

As a Lead Full-stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain information systems in the agricultural sector for our Client, a European public sector organisation. The work is weighted towards the front end — JavaScript and Angular interfaces backed by REST services and Java components — and you will take technical ownership of what you deliver, from interface structure and API contracts through to long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features, with the emphasis on JavaScript and Angular front ends backed by REST services and Java components
• Take technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, including their performance, security, and maintainability
• Work with business analysts, fellow engineers, and stakeholders in the agricultural domain to turn requirements into working software, and support colleagues through code review and knowledge sharing
• Design, build, and consume REST APIs that connect user interfaces with back-end services
• Analyse, maintain, and evolve existing information systems, understanding current behaviour before changing it and preserving compatibility where required
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, including front-end structure and coding conventions
• Ensure code quality through testing, code review, and adherence to the team's established conventions
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for the components you deliver
  
  

Requirements

• A university degree at master's level (or 5 years of higher education) with a minimum of 15 years of IT professional experience; or a degree at bachelor's level (or 3 years of higher education) with a minimum of 17 years; or a secondary degree giving access to higher education with a minimum of 22 years
• At least 8 years of experience with JavaScript
• At least 7 years of experience with REST
• At least 4 years of experience with Angular
• At least 2 years of experience with Java
• At least 6 months of experience in the analysis, development, and maintenance of information systems in the agricultural sector
• Experience with ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, and Git is considered an asset
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher (CEFR)
