Role Description The Research & Development Officer is a remote contract role responsible for advancing ZyeemZia™’s precision software, offline tactical tools, and calculation frameworks. Day-to-day tasks include designing and conducting research studies, developing and testing new concepts and prototypes, and analyzing performance data to optimize existing solutions. The role involves collaborating with technical stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable R&D plans, documenting methodologies and results, and contributing to product specifications and technical reports. The officer will also evaluate emerging technologies, ensure adherence to quality and security standards, and support continuous improvement across R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data, models, and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Research and Development (R&D) methodologies, including experimental design and iterative prototyping.
• Experience with applied research, including literature review, hypothesis formulation, and validation of findings.
• Relevant laboratory skills or technical experimentation skills for testing and validating tools, frameworks, or software components.
• Effective communication skills for documenting research, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with remote, cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with software development processes, algorithm design, or modeling and simulation is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet contract deliverables on schedule.
• Experience with security-sensitive or mission-critical systems is an advantage.
