## About the Role

Vanta is seeking a **Senior Software Engineer, GTM Engineering** to design and ship internal tools and applications that transform how go-to-market teams operate. You will work closely with **Sales, Customer Success, Technical Success, and Revenue Operations** to build solutions that accelerate pipeline generation, improve sales and renewal workflows, increase rep productivity, and scale customer engagement.

Vanta's GTM Engineering team operates as an internal incubator at the intersection of **product engineering, AI, automation, and go-to-market strategy**. The team builds solutions ranging from rapid prototypes to production-grade systems, applying modern technologies to solve complex business and customer workflow challenges.

As a senior engineer, you will own outcomes end to end, move quickly from concept to production, and directly influence how Vanta's technology is used by customer-facing teams. This role is suited to experienced builders who enjoy working closely with users, solving ambiguous business problems, and developing new enterprise software solutions.

## Key Responsibilities

* Build and ship applications that accelerate Vanta's go-to-market efforts, including:

* AI-powered prospecting workflows

* Account research tools

* Rep productivity applications

* Pipeline generation systems

* Deal preparation workflows

* Renewal velocity tools

* Scoring and routing systems

* Own the full product lifecycle from **prototype and iteration through production deployment and maintenance**.

* Partner closely with Sales, Technical Success, and Revenue Operations to identify high-impact opportunities and understand user needs.

* Translate business and customer workflow challenges into scalable technical solutions.

* Apply AI and modern technologies to automate and systematize GTM workflows.

* Design, develop, and maintain internal-facing web applications and AI-driven agents.

* Use **Python, TypeScript, SQL**, APIs, and modern web frameworks to build business applications.

* Build reliable and maintainable systems supported by:

* Technical documentation

* Monitoring

* Testing frameworks

* Observability

* Capture insights from customer-facing work and provide feedback to product and research teams.

* Evaluate and implement new technologies, orchestration tools, and AI platforms.

* Make effective **build-versus-buy** decisions when evaluating technologies and platforms.

* Move rapidly from prototypes to production while making appropriate technical tradeoffs.

* Ship solutions incrementally and continuously improve them based on user feedback and business outcomes.

## Required Qualifications

* **7+ years of software engineering experience** with a strong focus on building and shipping full-stack applications.

* Experience as a **founder or early engineer at a startup with approximately 0–50 employees**, including experience building products from the ground up and owning outcomes in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments.

* Strong proficiency in modern programming languages, including:

* Python

* TypeScript / JavaScript

* Experience with modern web frameworks such as:

* React

* Node.js

* Strong SQL skills.

* Experience working closely with non-technical stakeholders such as:

* Sales

* Operations

* Customer Success

* Revenue Operations

* Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and deliver impactful software solutions.

* Strong product mindset with attention to user experience, business impact, and usability.

* Demonstrated ability to move quickly from prototype to production.

* Ability to make effective technical tradeoffs and ship incrementally.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to explain technical decisions to business stakeholders and executive leadership.

* Must be authorized to work in the **United States without current or future employer sponsorship**.
