About Good Again

Good Again is an early-stage technology startup on a mission to reduce food waste while making good food more affordable.

We are building Indonesia's first surplus food marketplace, connecting restaurants, bakeries, cafés, grocery stores, hotels, and other food merchants with consumers through surprise bags of delicious surplus food at 40–80% off. Instead of letting perfectly good food go to waste, merchants recover revenue, customers enjoy affordable meals, and together we create measurable environmental and social impact.

Food waste is one of Indonesia's biggest sustainability challenges, with hundreds of trillions of rupiah lost every year while millions of people still struggle to access affordable food. At Good Again, we believe technology can help solve this problem by creating a marketplace where businesses, consumers, and the planet all benefit.

We're currently building our MVP and preparing to launch in Indonesia. This is an opportunity to join the company at a very early stage and play a meaningful role in shaping the product from day one.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Product Engineer to help build Good Again’s core product from the ground up. You will work closely with the founder to turn our Loveable MVP and existing prototype into a functional mobile-first platform for both merchants and customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building real products, solving problems independently, learning quickly, and using AI tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve Good Again’s customer-facing application
• Build and improve Good Again’s merchant dashboard/application
• Transform our existing AI-generated MVP into a secure, scalable, and production-ready platform.
• Develop front-end and back-end features
• Set up and manage databases, APIs, authentication, and user flows
• Integrate third-party tools such as maps, payments, notifications, analytics, and AI APIs when needed
• Test, debug, and improve product performance
• Work closely with the founder to prioritize product features and iterate quickly
• Help make technical decisions that are practical for an early-stage startup
• Maintain clear documentation of the codebase and development process

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience is also welcome
• 1–3 years of experience in software development, internship/project experience included
• Experience building web or mobile applications
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development
• Comfortable using Git/GitHub
• Able to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly

Technical Skills

• Front-end: React, React Native, Next.js, or similar frameworks
• Back-end: Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks
• Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firebase, or Supabase
• Authentication: Firebase Auth, JWT, OAuth, or similar
• API development and integration: REST APIs, third-party APIs, OpenAI API or similar AI APIs
• Deployment: Vercel, Railway, Render, Firebase, Supabase, AWS, or similar
• Version control: Git and GitHub

Nice to Have

• Experience publishing apps to Google Play Store or Apple App Store
• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, food delivery, SaaS, or dashboard products
• Experience integrating payment gateways such as Midtrans, Xendit, Stripe, or similar
• Experience with Google Maps API, WhatsApp API, push notifications, or analytics tools
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Bolt, or Windsurf
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
• Startup or freelance project experience
