Job Description

We are seeking an experienced React.js / Next.js Developer with strong expertise in GraphQL development and implementation to join our long-term strategic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable front-end applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript, along with hands-on experience designing and implementing GraphQL APIs (not just consuming them).

Candidates with prior experience in the eCommerce domain, particularly with commercetools and Frontastic, will be highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Front-End Development.
• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Proven experience in GraphQL development, schema design, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience leading long-term strategic engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), DOM manipulation, and JavaScript object model.
• Deep understanding of React lifecycle, hooks, state management, and Next.js architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL API integration.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps (VSTS).
• Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT authentication, and API security best practices.
• Experience with Webpack, Babel, Yarn, npm, and modern front-end tooling.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in SaaS environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Isomorphic React.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable React.js and Next.js applications.
• Design and implement GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and APIs.
• Lead front-end architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Build reusable UI components and optimize application performance.
• Integrate secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and backend teams.
• Develop CI/CD-enabled deployment pipelines.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
