About The Role

As a Staff Software Engineer at Ironclad, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI-powered features and systems. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify business challenges and develop innovative solutions that enhance our platform’s capabilities. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable, reliable, and high-quality AI integrations that help legal teams increase their productivity and efficiency across all stages of the contracting lifecycle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art AI advancements, translate them into tangible products, and lead technical initiatives that drive the company’s strategic vision forward. You will also mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and contribute to the growth of our engineering team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining complex systems
• Strong leadership skills with experience guiding cross-functional teams and driving technical excellence
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered product development and deployment
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and technologies such as TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (experience with specific technologies is a plus but not mandatory)
• High standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
• Passion for learning emerging AI advancements and sharing knowledge within the team
• Ability to prototype new ideas quickly and assess their feasibility for production
  
  

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall product strategy and technical architecture for AI initiatives at Ironclad
• Stay informed about the latest AI research and developments, and prototype new features to evaluate their potential
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement AI-powered features and systems
• Partner with quality engineers to define testing strategies and ensure high-quality releases
• Lead technical discussions, review code, and provide mentorship to team members
• Recruit, interview, and grow engineering talent to strengthen the team
• Work with a modern technology stack and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
