Role Description This remote Senior Software Engineer contract role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that support web and mobile applications. The engineer will write clean, efficient, and testable code, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements and architecture. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving production issues, optimizing performance, improving reliability, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The role also involves mentoring other engineers, participating in planning sessions, and ensuring solutions align with security, scalability, and maintainability standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production systems.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and applying design patterns to create maintainable code.
  • Experience with modern development tools and workflows (version control, CI/CD, automated testing).
