Senior Ruby Engineer (Payments) | Fintech Startup | Remote (EU) | Permanent

I’m hiring for a well-funded early-stage fintech startup building payments technology. The engineering team is small today, with plans to grow significantly next year, so this is a chance to join early and have real influence over how the product is built.

The role

• Build complex, high-impact systems in a fast-moving startup environment
• Work on payments functionality at the core of the product
• Own technical decisions and architecture end to end
• Use AI tooling as part of your everyday development workflow

What we’re looking for

• Strong Ruby experience (the wider stack is flexible)
• Hands-on fintech or payments experience
• A track record of building and scaling complex systems
• Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
• Strong critical thinking and clear communication
• Practical experience building with AI
