Full Stack Engineer — Norlease

North Bay, ON (Remote-friendly)

Norlease is building the first verified rental listing platform for North Bay and Northern Ontario. Every landlord is phone-verified and ID-reviewed before they can post, which is something Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace have never bothered to do. We're free for renters and landlords, live in production, and moving fast toward a September launch window.

What you'd actually be working on

The core platform is built and running in production, not a prototype. You'd be joining post-MVP to help push through the next layer: admin tooling, mobile polish, and features that scale the platform beyond North Bay into other Northern Ontario cities. Real work, real users, nothing theoretical.

• Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript
• Drizzle ORM, Neon Postgres with PostGIS for geo queries
• Clerk for auth, Cloudflare R2 for image storage and processing
• MapLibre GL JS + Protomaps for maps
• Telnyx for SMS, Resend for email
• Hetzner + Coolify for deployment, Cloudflare for DNS/edge

What we're looking for

• 2-3 years of professional full stack experience, ideally with a modern React/Next.js and TypeScript stack
• Comfortable owning a feature end to end: database schema, API route, UI, and the edge cases in between
• Experience with Postgres (bonus if you've touched PostGIS or geo-indexed data)
• Someone who reads existing code and conventions before adding new ones, we have a real production system with real users on it
• Bonus: experience with auth systems, image pipelines, or SMS/email delivery infrastructure

What you won't be doing

Rebuilding things that already work. This isn't a "let's redo the auth flow" role. It's a "let's ship the next real thing" role.
