About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a technical leader, responsible for guiding the development and delivery of complex software solutions that impact our business operations and customer experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other stakeholders, to define technical requirements, establish best practices, and ensure the successful implementation of scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software products. This individual contributor role offers an opportunity to shape our technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation within an agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven experience leading the delivery of complex software solutions in an agile environment
  • 1+ years of experience mentoring and coaching senior and junior developers
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as .NET and C#
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system scalability
  • Knowledge of API and microservice design patterns, including REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and related security practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and related DevOps practices
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, setting clear technical vision and ensuring alignment with product objectives
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions, taking ownership from conception through to launch
  • Participate actively in team ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous process improvements
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements, author user stories, and ensure seamless integration of solutions
  • Establish and enforce best practices in coding standards, architectural patterns, and agile methodologies to maintain high quality and scalability
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
  • Address complex technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions
  • Drive technical design discussions, contributing to system architecture and ensuring robustness and scalability
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed features and solutions to enhance team efficiency
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure timely delivery of features and solutions
