Obsidian Collectables is a premium trading-card platform built for people who take collecting seriously: a curated storefront, provably fair mystery packs, a P2P marketplace, and a social hub where collectors connect, chat and trade. We've turned that into $10M in revenue and over 4,500 users with a team of four, and we're just getting started.

The role

We’re hiring a senior full-stack engineer to help own the product as we scale. You'd be our lead engineer, working directly with the founder, across the existing platform and leading larger builds that involve messy real-world data, reliability, and user-facing product.

What you’ll do

• Ship end-to-end features in a live Next.js / TypeScript codebase
• Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, clean, and store external and internal data on a schedule
• Design systems where correctness matters (payments, balances, inventory, auditability)
• Make product calls, not just implement specs
• Raise the engineering bar as the company grows

What we’re looking for

• Strong full-stack TypeScript: React, Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL
• Experience building ETL / ingestion systems for messy real-world data
• Comfort with time-series data, basic statistics, and turning noisy inputs into trustworthy product outputs
• Product ownership mindset; you’ve shipped without needing a perfect brief
• Experience near payments, ledgers, or other high-correctness systems

Nice to have

• Charting / data visualization
• Interest in collectables, trading, or markets
• Early-stage / startup engineering experience
• Prisma, Stripe, or NextAuth
