About the Company
Qolo helps businesses manage complex payments and financial transactions with greater efficiency, security, and control. Its platform supports a range of financial services, including banking, wage access, distribution payments, card processing, and fintech applications. By combining a real-time ledger, virtual accounts, and multiple payment methods through a single API, Qolo enables financial institutions to launch and scale products without replacing their existing core systems or relying on multiple vendors.
About the Role
Qolo is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead the design and development of secure, scalable distributed systems that support high-volume financial transactions. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will work across the full technology stack, influencing architecture while remaining directly involved in production code and technical execution.

- Design and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Architect, deploy, and operate cloud-native applications and services on Microsoft Azure.
- Champion CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation to improve delivery speed, reliability, and software quality.
- Use AI-enabled development tools to improve engineering productivity and software development lifecycle (SDLC) effectiveness.
- Ensure systems meet fintech requirements for security, compliance, availability, and auditability.
- Take ownership of high-impact engineering initiatives and drive them through implementation and delivery.
- Guide technical decisions that balance immediate delivery needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Help establish engineering standards, strengthen technical direction, and improve how the team builds and operates software.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and business stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.

- Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices in regulated environments.
- Ability to lead through hands-on development, sound architectural decisions, and technical execution.
- Strong ownership, accountability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and make pragmatic technical decisions.
