The Code Marketing is a digital marketing agency founded in 2020 and based in Puerto Rico. Over five years we've built a team of 12 and a client roster spanning local brands and multinational CPG accounts across Puerto Rico, the United States, and Latin America.

We're adding a Lead Developer with full-stack experience and a track record building applied AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal and client-facing web applications, from requirements gathering through deployment
• Design system architecture and data models derived from business processes
• Implement LLM-based systems in production environments, with quality controls and output validation
• Integrate third-party APIs and build reliable data pipelines
• Develop websites and applications meeting performance, technical SEO, and analytics standards
• Scope and estimate technical projects, and document all deliverables

Requirements

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience in production environments
• React / Next.js and TypeScript
• Node.js and/or Python
• PostgreSQL, with strong data modeling skills
• Demonstrated experience implementing LLM APIs in production: RAG, function calling, and cost control
• Third-party API integration and data pipeline management
• Ability to translate business processes into data structures
• Technical autonomy and a documentation habit
• Professional English and Spanish
• Portfolio of production systems with access, repository, or walkthrough

Nice to have

• Prior experience at a marketing, advertising, or consulting agency
• Meta Ads API, Google Ads API, GA4, or advertising data connectors
• AI output evaluation methodologies
• Experience gathering requirements directly with clients
• Technical SEO and web performance optimization
• Automation with n8n, Make, or Zapier
