Role Description The Web Developer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites and web applications for Tiwahost clients. Daily tasks include developing front-end user interfaces, implementing back-end functionality, integrating with hosting and domain services, and ensuring responsive, accessible design. The role involves collaborating with designers, support staff, and other developers to troubleshoot issues, improve site performance, and enhance user experience. This is a full-time position based in Lagos with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Web Developer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development workflows.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Front-End Development and Web Design, including building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and general Web Development, with experience connecting applications to hosting and domain services.
  • Strong Programming skills using modern languages and frameworks relevant to web solutions.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one back-end language or framework (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python/Django).
  • Familiarity with databases, version control (e.g., Git), and basic security best practices for web applications.
  • Ability to debug, test, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup in Lagos.
  • Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
