For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II - App Core (remote Eligible) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Help build and maintain core infrastructure for reliability and performance
• Work closely with teammates in a real-time mob programming environment
• Contribute to managing and upgrading large-scale database infrastructure
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) for resilience of foundational systems
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain operational health of systems
  
  

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go is a plus)
• Strong interest in learning Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and database reliability (MySQL)
• Team-oriented mindset, comfortable with collaborative mob programming
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
