About Nextwaves

We're a Vietnam-based RFID company, and we're not a reseller. We research the technology, design the hardware, and build it ourselves. On the software side we run Easy Inventory, a multi-tenant SaaS that companies use to run their daily operations. It's live, people pay for it, and it works. Now we're expanding into new sectors, which means building fast without letting things fall over.

The Role

We're not hiring a resume. We're hiring someone who can look at a hard problem and ship a real solution. The title says it: problem solver first, engineer always.

The Person We Have in Mind:

• Someone who can code. Actually build things, not just talk about building them.
• Someone who understands the business, at least a bit. You care why we're building something, not only how.
• Someone who can listen, not just talk. When you sit in front of a customer, your job is to hear their real problem, not pitch over it.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship features for Easy Inventory (current tech stack: NestJS, NextJS, Postgres) as we move into new sectors
• Keep a multi-tenant platform healthy under real load, with real customers
• Debug the messy stuff: why a container died, why a queue backed up, why routing broke for one tenant at 11pm
• Prototype fast, then make it production-grade
• Sometimes step out of the code and talk to customers directly, to understand what's actually going wrong for them

What We're Looking For (the non-negotiable part)

• You code with AI. Claude, ChatGPT, whatever gets you to a working version fastest. We expect it, not tolerate it.
• But you actually understand what runs underneath. When the AI hands you code, you know whether it's right. You can reason about message queues (MQ), containerization, service routing with Traefik, and how they fit together in a multi-tenant system. Product mindset, not just code output.
• Real engineering skill. You can read a stack trace and fix the cause, not paste it back into a chatbot and hope.
• You own problems end to end.

Bonus Points

• You once started a company and it failed. That's a plus here, not something to hide. You already learned what it costs to build something nobody wanted, and how to decide with no data and a deadline breathing down your neck.
• You were a software engineer before or during that founder run. You've felt both sides.

Please also tell us your expected salary. We ask upfront because we respect your time. We're a startup, and if we can't afford you yet, we'd rather be honest about it now than string you through three rounds of interviews to find out.
