About Deposyt

Deposyt is a fintech SaaS company building an integrated CRM and ecommerce platform that simplifies merchant operations and supports modern payment workflows.

As we refine and scale our platform, we are expanding our internal engineering team to strengthen product quality, reduce rework, and accelerate delivery.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build, improve, and scale the features that power our commerce and payment experience. This role spans frontend and backend development, with an initial emphasis on frontend architecture, reusable UI components, and a consistent user experience across the platform. You will contribute directly to feature development while helping establish shared component standards, improve design-to-development consistency, and support core capabilities such as navigation, notifications, settings, and payment workflows.

The ideal candidate can move comfortably between customer-facing features, shared component architecture, backend services, and platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Feature Development

• Design, build, enhance, and maintain features across Deposyt’s commerce platform.

• Deliver frontend and backend functionality that balances speed, usability, quality, and maintainability.

• Support navigation, notifications, settings, payment processing, and related customer workflows.

• Translate product and UX requirements into clear, reliable implementations.

Frontend Architecture & Common Component Library

• Build and evolve a shared component library for the commerce platform.

• Review and improve existing components and implementation patterns.

• Establish reusable approaches to layouts, interactions, and customer-facing workflows.

• Ensure shared components are practical, maintainable, and aligned with product needs.

Design Tokens & Global Theme System

• Establish and implement design tokens to support global theming and visual consistency.

• Define reusable component configuration patterns that fit Deposyt’s framework and environment.

• Improve consistency in component behavior, styling, and usability across the platform.

Backend-Enabled Platform Capabilities

• Contribute to backend services and integrations that support frontend workflows.

• Build and improve Node.js functionality that powers shared platform features.

• Ensure frontend implementations work reliably with APIs, backend services, and operational workflows.

• Clarify responsibilities and improve maintainability where frontend and backend systems connect.

Technical Quality, Standards & Maintainability

• Improve code quality, readability, component structure, and long-term maintainability.

• Reduce duplicated code, fragile UI behavior, and inconsistent integration patterns.

• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and estimation.

• Strengthen engineering practices through clear documentation, reusable patterns, and thoughtful technical decisions.

Platform Understanding & Collaboration

• Develop an understanding of the platform’s customer flows, backend services, and operational dependencies.

• Work closely with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and backend engineering.

• Improve design-to-development handoffs and shared implementation standards.

• Help the team deliver reliable features that support broader platform goals.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full stack capabilities.

• Experience building modern web applications, including frontend architecture and reusable UI systems.

• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills, including component-driven development, state management, and API integration.

• Experience developing backend application workflows using Node.js or similar environments.

• Experience building or improving shared component libraries or implementing design systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across a remote, distributed team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern frontend frameworks.

• Experience with commerce platforms, payment integrations, or recurring payment workflows.

• Familiarity with Storybook and design-system implementation.

• Experience with AWS-hosted systems and applications where reliability is critical.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and structured software development practices.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

What Success Looks Like

• Frontend and backend features are delivered with stronger quality and less rework.

• The platform has a more complete, usable shared component library.

• Design tokens and global theming improve consistency across product experiences.

• Navigation, notifications, settings, and payment workflows become easier to maintain.

• Product, UX, QA, and DevOps have greater confidence in implementation quality.

• Engineering standards and reusable patterns continue to improve as the platform grows.
