Job Description

As a WordPress Website Developer at Web Ascend Performance Agency, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites for clients. You will work closely with designers, content creators, and SEO specialists to build user-friendly, optimized, and scalable WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements.
• Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices.
• Implement responsive and mobile-friendly designs across all devices.
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues, including plugin conflicts, broken pages, and database issues.
• Manage and integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and tools to enhance functionality.
• Ensure website security and backups, protecting against vulnerabilities and threats.
• Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or PSD designs into fully functional WordPress websites.
• Implement custom functionalities using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Set up and manage WooCommerce stores (for eCommerce projects).
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure proper on-page SEO structure.
• Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of live websites.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and WordPress Codex.
• Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Strong understanding of SEO, website performance optimization, and accessibility.
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg).
• Experience with WooCommerce, payment gateways, and eCommerce functionality.
• Knowledge of cPanel, hosting environments, and domain management.
• Experience with REST API and third-party integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
