Role Description This is a part-time, remote Software Engineer role. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support Star Link Real Estate’s digital platforms and internal tools. Daily tasks include implementing backend services, writing clean and efficient code, integrating APIs, and collaborating with team members to refine requirements and technical specifications. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, writing tests, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and reliability. The Software Engineer will work closely with product and real estate operations stakeholders to deliver features that enhance user experience and support business goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Practical knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with familiarity in version control systems such as Git.
  • Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and collaborating via digital tools (e.g., video calls, chat, project management platforms).
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Interest in or exposure to real estate technology is a plus.
