About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join a fast-growing UK SaaS technology company. This pivotal role involves leading the technical delivery of innovative digital products that empower commercial teams to better understand and engage with their customers. As a hands-on technical leader, you will be responsible for guiding a talented development squad, shaping system architecture, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work within a modern cloud-based environment, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS infrastructure. You will be involved from the initial design phase through to deployment and ongoing support, playing a key role in the company's growth and technological evolution.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full stack development with at least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years working extensively with JavaScript and TypeScript. A solid understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and large SaaS platforms is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a clean-code mindset, adhering to principles such as SOLID, design patterns, and test-driven development. Experience working within mature CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices is highly desirable. A degree in Computer Science or a comparable level of real-world experience is required. Excellent collaboration skills, stakeholder management, and a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance software development are also important attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across a high-performing development team, ensuring timely and quality outputs.
  • Contribute to solution design, system architecture, and domain modeling to create scalable and maintainable platforms.
  • Build proof-of-concepts and conduct spikes to explore complex or uncertain areas of work.
  • Break down requirements into epics and user stories in collaboration with product and initiative managers.
  • Develop and deliver production-ready code across the full technology stack, maintaining high standards of quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Support and enhance live systems post-deployment, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Influence and shape the technical direction, tooling, and best practices across the engineering team.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
