Sr Backend Engineer (Golang)

Why our client is hiring for this position/mission

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer with expertise in GoLang to join our team. You’ll build scalable server-side applications and APIs, with opportunities to work on LLMs, RAG APIs, vector databases, Redis, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Experience with AWS services like SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS, and monitoring tools like Datadog is highly valued.

Description

• Develop and maintain back-end services in GoLang.
• Design scalable APIs and database solutions.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate user-facing elements.
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing software.
• Implement TDD to ensure quality code.
• Leverage AWS services for event-driven systems.
• Monitor performance with Datadog
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of back-end development experience.
• Proficient in GoLang.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Redis.
• Familiar with AWS cloud services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Great communication and teamwork.
  
  

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, RAG APIs, and vector databases.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
