Role Description

The Web Application Developer will design, develop, maintain, and improve secure, scalable web applications across Senso’s customer-facing and internal systems. The role will involve working on public websites, customer portals, operational platforms, commercial systems, and integrations with third-party services and APIs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building new features, improving existing functionality, resolving bugs, converting design concepts into production-ready web pages, integrating with external systems, and supporting cloud-hosted applications. The successful candidate will work closely with product, design, QA, support, and development teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for education customers.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Perth, Western Australia, with a combination of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

Strong skills in web application development and experience building production-ready web applications.

Proficiency in front-end and back-end web development, including working with APIs, databases, and modern web frameworks.

Experience with common web technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one major back-end language or framework such as React.

Familiarity with cloud-native application development, preferably including Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.

Experience with version control, such as Git, and CI/CD practices.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code, with attention to performance, scalability, and reliability.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; experience with SaaS platforms, education technology, or customer-facing systems is an advantage.
