We're partnering with a venture-backed startup rebuilding home insurance from the ground up, using technology to automate risk evaluation, detect structural damage, and eliminate the friction that's made the industry slow and expensive. This role is perfect for someone who wants real ownership over both the frontend experience and the systems behind it, and wants genuine influence over how a growing product is built.

Key Responsibilities:

Frontend

• Implement new product designs into the existing web application.
• Fill in design gaps with thoughtful decisions around layout, motion, and interaction.
• Build transitions, animations, and UI details consistent with brand and feel.

Backend

• Ensure frontend components are fully functional and integrated with backend APIs.
• Develop a strong understanding of data models, routing, and application flows.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ship complete features end-to-end.
• Ship high-quality backend code.
• Maintain and improve current systems to enhance performance, scalability, and security.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong proficiency with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Excellent CSS skills: layout, animation, and responsive design.
• Comfortable working with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query writing.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and learn quickly with minimal guidance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Prior experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
• Product or design sensibility beyond pure implementation.
• Experience owning features across the full stack, not just one side.
