The Role

We're looking for a Founding AI Engineer to help build the intelligence layer behind ACASO.

You'll work directly with the founders to design and build the systems that power document understanding, financial reasoning, agent workflows, and automated financial operations.

This is a high-ownership role. You'll have significant influence over product direction, technical architecture, and how AI is integrated throughout the platform.

What you'll work on

• Building AI workflows that analyze contracts, invoices, payment activity, and financial records
• Designing agent systems that investigate issues and generate recommended actions
• Developing document extraction, matching, and reasoning pipelines
• Improving retrieval, context management, and AI orchestration strategies
• Building evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy and reliability
• Prototyping new AI capabilities and shipping them quickly
• Collaborating directly with founders, customers, and pilot partners
• Helping shape the long-term AI strategy of the company

We're looking for someone who

• Loves building and shipping
• Is comfortable working in ambiguity
• Can move quickly from idea to implementation
• Has experience working with LLMs and AI-powered products
• Has strong Python and backend engineering skills
• Thinks critically about AI reliability, evaluation, and product design
• Is excited about startups and building something from the ground up

Bonus

• Experience with agents, RAG, MCP, LangGraph, DSPy, or similar frameworks
• Experience with OCR, document processing, or information extraction
• Experience building AI products from 0 → 1
• Startup experience
• Open-source contributions
• Interest in fintech, enterprise software, or operational workflows
