Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Junior Software Engineer at VONSAAL design. The Junior Software Engineer will help design, implement, test, and maintain back-end services and web applications under the guidance of more experienced engineers. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and resolving issues, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with designers and other developers to deliver features. The role also involves documenting technical work, learning and applying best practices in software engineering, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Candidates should possess experience or interest in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Candidates should possess understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and be able to apply them to real projects.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), unit testing, and continuous integration tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback in a collaborative remote environment.
  • Relevant academic background or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
