About The Role

Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Hazelwood, MO, for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.

The successful candidate for the role of Associate Software Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
  • Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience with VB, C#, .NET, and/or .NET Framework
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL or other relational databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and industry standards

Responsibilities

  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback
  • Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development
  • Execute and document software research and development projects
  • Translate customer requirements into software designs and specifications
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software products and functionalities
  • Debug and resolve software issues to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Ensure compliance with industry, customer, and government safety and quality standards
