About The Role
Bow Wave LLC is seeking highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Engineers to contribute to the design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications. In this hands-on role, you will build and improve Java and Spring Boot back-end services and Angular front-end experiences while working with PostgreSQL databases and AWS environments.
You will use AI coding assistants, such as Claude and Amazon Q Developer, to accelerate development, generate boilerplate, support testing, and assist with modernization tasks. AI tools are intended to enhance your work, not replace engineering judgment. You will be expected to inspect, test, debug, and refine generated code to ensure it meets architectural, security, quality, and performance standards. Candidates should also have experience designing and writing AI models.
This position is suited to experienced engineers who can work effectively across the software development lifecycle, communicate technical decisions, and deliver reliable solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least five years of experience developing with Java and Spring Boot.
- At least five years of experience developing with Angular, with experience using Angular 17 or later.
- At least five years of experience working with PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing and writing AI models.
- Strong understanding of AWS environments, cloud architecture, application security, and enterprise software development practices.
- Experience with unit testing, code review, debugging, refactoring, and application modernization.
- Ability to assess AI-generated code critically and improve it for correctness, security, maintainability, and integration.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
- Design, develop, review, and refactor Java and Spring Boot back-end services and Angular front-end applications.
- Build and maintain reliable integrations between application components, services, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Use AI coding assistants to support development, generate boilerplate, create or improve unit tests, and assist with modernization activities.
- Manually inspect and validate AI-generated outputs before integrating them into production code.
- Ensure application code follows security requirements, AWS cloud architecture standards, and PostgreSQL data practices.
- Debug and resolve defects, address integration issues, and optimize application performance and code quality.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and help maintain clear, maintainable engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and deliver dependable software.
