About The Role

As a compliance-focused software engineer at Rain, you will play a pivotal role in integrating compliance into the core of our product development process. Your work will involve creating internal tools for our compliance team, collaborating with our issuing team to embed compliance protocols into existing systems, and leveraging our data platform to prepare for audits. You understand that compliance is not an afterthought but a fundamental aspect of building secure and trustworthy financial products. Your attention to detail and commitment to precision will help ensure that our systems meet regulatory standards while maintaining operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our compliance engineering approach, develop scalable tooling for KYC/KYB/TM pipelines, and help future-proof our data strategy, all while working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Proficiency in Node.js and backend systems development
  • Strong understanding of compliance standards and processes
  • Experience with building and maintaining internal tooling and automation
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to embed compliance into products
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Shape and implement our approach to compliance engineering within the organization
  • Develop and maintain tools and services to enhance scalability of KYC/KYB/TM pipelines
  • Design and execute strategies to centralize and secure compliance data
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code iteratively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance processes into existing systems
  • Support audit preparations by leveraging data platforms and ensuring data integrity
  • Stay updated with evolving compliance regulations and incorporate best practices into our systems
