About Oculon Systems

Oculon Systems builds client-intake infrastructure for law firms. Our product, Iris, sits directly on a law firm's website and engages prospective clients 24/7. It asks the follow-up questions that distinguish a strong case from a weak one, structures the information collected during the conversation, and delivers a clear summary to the firm's inbox — with the facts, urgency, and next steps attorneys need to act.Law firms miss potential clients when nobody is available to respond.Iris handles the initial intake conversation so attorneys can focus on the case.We are an early-stage company. The team is small, communication is direct, and what you build here ships. We are now looking for a Frontend Developer : React / Next.js / TypeScript to build the interfaces and experiences through which law firms and their prospective clients interact with Iris.

The RoleAs a Frontend Developer at Oculon Systems, you will own the development of high-quality, production-ready web experiences across the Iris platform. You will work closely with product, design, backend, AI, and engineering to transform product requirements and designs into fast, accessible, intuitive, and maintainable interfaces. This is a hands-on frontend engineering role. You will be expected to understand the user problem, translate designs into functional experiences, connect interfaces to real application logic and APIs, handle edge cases, test your work, and continuously improve the product.Your work will directly affect how prospective clients experience Iris and how law firms interact with the platform.

  • Law firm dashboards.
  • Analytics and reporting.
  • Authentication and onboarding.
  • Account and organization settings.
  • Configuration interfaces.
  • Notifications and status experiences.
  • Responsive web applications.

You will turn product requirements into complete frontend experiences rather than isolated UI components.

  • React & Next.js DevelopmentYou will work extensively with modern React and Next.js application architecture.Your responsibilities may include:Building reusable React components.
  • Developing scalable page and application structures.
  • Managing application state.
  • Connecting frontend applications to backend services.

  • Build reusable components and utilities.
  • Handle edge cases explicitly.
  • Refactor technical debt where appropriate.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Maintain consistent frontend engineering standards.

We are looking for developers who care about the quality of the code they leave behind.

  • UI ImplementationYou will translate product designs into polished production interfaces. This includes:Building accurate UI implementations.
  • Creating reusable design-system components.
  • Maintaining visual consistency.
  • Handling responsive layouts.
  • Supporting different screen sizes and devices.
  • Implementing interactions and transitions.
  • Managing empty, loading, success, and error states.
  • Ensuring interfaces remain intuitive as functionality becomes more advanced.

You should have a strong eye for detail.Small differences in spacing, typography, hierarchy, interaction, and responsiveness matter.

  • User ExperienceFrontend development at Oculon is not simply about making interfaces look good. You will think about the complete user journey. For example:Visitor arrives → starts intake → answers questions → receives feedback → information is processed → law firm receives structured informationYou will help ensure that every step is:Clear
  • Fast
  • Accessible
  • Responsive

  • Conversation histories.
  • Structured AI results.
