About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER will join an agile team responsible for developing and maintaining software features and applications critical to the organization’s mission. This role supports backend system operations, troubleshooting, and enhancement while contributing to the integration and development of Generative AI tools to improve products and internal processes. The position is essential in advancing technological solutions that support the organization's objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal partners to design, configure, maintain, and promote accessible applications.
  • Continuously monitor, test, and optimize software ensuring reliability and adherence to architectural standards.
  • Participate in continuous code delivery using deployment tools and automated testing.
  • Scale software to support dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain scalable applications.
  • Work with engineers, product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Develop Generative AI features using Azure OpenAI Service and related APIs.
  • Build and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines with vector databases.
  • Apply Responsible AI practices including bias awareness, personal data protection, and content safety.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with web and cross-platform technologies.
  • Skilled with Git and code management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of relational and unstructured data repositories.
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Required expertise in React, MS VB and C# .NET frameworks (including Web Forms, Windows Forms, .NET Web API, Entity Framework 6.4, MVC, SPA Framework), JavaScript frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Azure cloud services including DevOps CI/CD.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Dapper, RESTful API, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Power BI, and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, and Responsible AI principles.


Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • Pay rate ranges from $108,000 to $115,000, depending on experience.
