About The Role
The role is for an engineer who treats the
frontend as a product surface, not just markup and state - someone who cares about rendering performance, accessibility, and shipping interfaces that customers actually enjoy using.
You will join a small product engineering team responsible for customer-facing
web applications used daily by thousands of users, working directly with designers and
backend engineers to ship features end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex, stateful user interfaces in React and TypeScript for a production web application serving thousands of daily active users
- Own features end-to-end: from design collaboration and API contract discussions to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Improve Core Web Vitals and bundle performance across critical user flows, with measurable targets for load time and interaction latency
- Design reusable component architecture and maintain the shared design system used across multiple product surfaces
- Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, handling caching, optimistic updates, and error states with care
- Write unit and integration tests with Jest and React Testing Library; maintain CI quality gates
- Participate in code reviews, pairing sessions, and quarterly architecture planning with the broader engineering team
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of frontend engineering experience building and shipping production web applications
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or TanStack Query)
- Strong CSS fundamentals and experience with modern styling approaches (CSS Modules, Tailwind, or styled-components)
- Experience profiling and fixing real performance issues: bundle size, hydration cost, rendering bottlenecks
- Track record of building accessible interfaces (WCAG 2.1) and testing across browsers and devices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with Next.js, WebSockets/real-time UIs, design systems tooling (Storybook), or contributions to open-source frontend tooling
