To support our rapid growth we are looking for a a Frontend Web Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the foundation that enables product teams to ship reliable, performant, and scalable web applications. Unlike feature-focused frontend engineers, this role is responsible for the platform, tooling, architecture, developer experience, and operational excellence behind every web application. Your work will impact every engineer and every user.

What You Will Do

Frontend Platform

1. Design and evolve the shared frontend architecture
2. Own shared UI foundations, application shell, and platform libraries
3. Define best practices for project structure and code organization
4. Maintain internal SDKs and reusable packages

Developer Experience (DX)

1. Improve local development workflows
2. Reduce build and test times
3. Improve CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications
4. Create tooling that enables faster and safer development
5. Automate repetitive engineering tasks

Performance

1. • Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS)
2. • Optimize bundle size and code splitting
3. • Improve loading performance and caching strategies
4. • Monitor and improve frontend runtime performance

Reliability

1. Improve application stability and resiliency
2. Build feature flag and experimentation infrastructure
3. Own error reporting and monitoring
4. Define release and rollback strategies
5. Improve deployment confidence

Observability

1. Build frontend logging, metrics, and tracing standards
2. Improve debugging capabilities
3. Create dashboards for product and engineering teams
4. Define frontend SLOs and performance KPIs

Security

1. Improve frontend security posture
2. Maintain Content Security Policy (CSP)
3. Improve authentication and session management
4. Prevent common web vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, clickjacking)
5. Secure third-party integrations

Quality Engineering

1. • Improve testing strategy across applications
2. • Maintain test infrastructure
3. • Improve end-to-end testing reliability
4. • Define frontend quality standards

Engineering Standards

1. Establish coding standards and architectural guidelines
2. Drive framework and dependency upgrades
3. Reduce technical debt
4. Evaluate and introduce new frontend technologies when appropriate

Cross-team Enablement

• Partner with product teams to solve platform problems

• Support engineering teams during migrations

• Write documentation and engineering playbooks

• Mentor engineers on frontend architecture and best practices

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript

• Deep understanding of browser internals and the web platform

• Experience with modern bundlers (Rspack, Vite, Webpack, Turbopack, or similar)

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript performance optimization

• Experience designing reusable frontend architecture

• Experience improving developer experience and engineering productivity

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js

• Experience building internal developer platforms

• Experience with monorepos (Nx, Turborepo, pnpm Workspaces)

• Experience with design systems or component libraries

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or frontend observability

• Experience with feature flag platforms

• Experience with CDN, caching, and edge computing

• Experience with micro-frontends or module federation

• Experience contributing to open-source projects
