About The Role
As a Web Developer / Shopware Developer, you will develop, maintain, and optimize the digital applications and e-commerce experiences that support our business. You will translate operational requirements into reliable technical solutions, working across frontend and backend systems. From building custom Shopware plugins to integrating external services and improving system performance, your work will help ensure that our online stores remain functional, stable, and ready to grow. You will collaborate with colleagues to define requirements, plan solutions, and continuously improve the technology our customers and teams rely on.
Qualifications
You have completed vocational training as an IT specialist in application development, trained as a Shopware developer, or gained an equivalent qualification. A degree in computer science or a related discipline is also suitable. You bring experience developing or supporting e-commerce solutions; experience with Shopware is particularly welcome. You are familiar with relational database systems such as MySQL or MariaDB and use development tools such as PHPStorm, Git, and common testing tools confidently. Knowledge of SASS/SCSS or LESS is expected. Familiarity with performance optimization, API and interface development, and SEO is an advantage. You work independently, methodically, and with a practical, solution-oriented approach. You are committed to keeping your skills current through learning, professional development, and knowledge-sharing with colleagues.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize advanced digital applications and features built on Shopware. Convert business and operational needs into clear technical requirements and well-considered solution concepts. Create custom plugins, adapt existing solutions, and integrate third-party plugins where appropriate. Maintain and enhance both the frontend and backend of our e-commerce platforms. Integrate external web tools and services into the existing system landscape, and maintain and improve interfaces with connected systems to support reliable data exchange. Monitor the performance of our shop systems and help ensure their stable, dependable operation. Use modern monitoring and analysis tools to track system and server performance, identify potential issues, and contribute to the availability and functionality of our online stores. Work collaboratively to support ongoing improvements and the delivery of future projects.
Benefits
Join an innovative family business with varied responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects. Flexible working hours through a flexitime model support work-life balance. You will be part of a collegial, collaborative culture with strong team spirit across all levels of the organization. As the company grows, you can develop your skills and pursue further career opportunities. Benefits include an employer contribution toward retirement savings, a fitness allowance, supplementary company health insurance, and the option to lease a JobRad bicycle. Employees also receive discounts and special offers from well-known brands, access to individual training opportunities, and invitations to regular employee and team events. Additional workplace benefits include complimentary coffee and fruit, free company parking, and attractive performance-based compensation.
