About The Role
The Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) program at Leidos is seeking a skilled Java Web Application Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing tools and web applications that support the United States Department of Defense test and training communities. The primary mission is to accelerate the development cycle and deliver capabilities to warfighters more rapidly, ensuring operational readiness and technological superiority. The successful candidate will work remotely or from our Alexandria, VA office, collaborating with a team of engineers and developers to design, build, test, and maintain web-based solutions that provide critical functionalities for secure enclaves. The role demands a proactive individual with strong technical expertise, capable of contributing to full-stack development, ensuring security compliance, and enhancing existing applications to meet evolving operational needs.

Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance or higher
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for degree)
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications and software systems
- At least 2+ years of experience in requirement validation and documentation for software applications
- Proficiency with web UI components including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (NodeJS), and Angular
- Demonstrated ability to design and build RESTful web services using JSON
- Experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE integration, Servlets, and JDBC
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or equivalent databases and SQL querying
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, Java Streams, Lambda expressions, Collections framework, and Exception handling
- Collaborate with an existing team of web developers to deliver comprehensive full-stack web applications supporting operational requirements
- Document, validate, and analyze web application requirements to ensure alignment with mission objectives
- Develop automated testing frameworks that adhere to test plans and quality standards
- Provide architectural design and development support to meet web application specifications
- Participate in software design discussions, recommending appropriate tools, technologies, and development techniques
- Refactor and update existing web applications to incorporate new features, enhance performance, and improve reliability
- Review and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and security requirements for all web applications
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues during development and deployment phases
- Maintain documentation for code, architecture, and deployment processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance
