2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer role supports the development and maintenance of eDiary and clinical data platforms used in epilepsy treatment. The position involves creating and operating robust software solutions that meet clinical and regulatory standards, contributing to patient-facing applications and secure clinical systems. This role is critical in ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure software infrastructure that advances the organization''s clinical research capabilities.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade code across frontend, backend, and data layers

• Deploy and operate cloud-based services, focusing on reliability, scalability, and security

• Diagnose and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis and incident response

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into validated software releases

• Design APIs and data models ensuring audit trails, version history, and system traceability

• Enhance system observability through structured logging, monitoring, and alerting

• Maintain high standards of data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with end-to-end system design and operation

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals including data structures, API design, and data modeling

• Proven ability to debug complex issues across client, API, database, and infrastructure layers

• Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments with secure authentication and authorization

• Familiarity with production monitoring, alerting, and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices

• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, high-accountability setting

• Physical and mental ability to perform computer-based tasks and communicate clearly; reasonable accommodations available

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Annualized base salary range: $105,000—$125,000 USD
