About The Role
eShocan LLC is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join its team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will contribute across the application stack, building and enhancing user-facing experiences, backend services, APIs, and data integrations. You will work with React, GraphQL, Node.js, Go or Python, SQL, and BigQuery, while helping maintain applications in a large, established codebase. The role calls for a developer who can move comfortably between frontend and backend work, investigate complex issues, and deliver well-tested changes in collaboration with other engineers and stakeholders.
You will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from understanding requirements and evaluating technical approaches to implementation, code review, testing, and ongoing support. Your work will help connect enterprise systems and deliver dependable application functionality. This position is suited to a senior engineer with substantial hands-on experience who can communicate technical trade-offs clearly and contribute to shared engineering standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 10 years of professional React development experience and seven years of GraphQL or backend development experience. At least five years of BigQuery experience is required, along with strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience building backend services with Node.js, Go/Golang, or Python. You should be comfortable working with REST APIs, enterprise integrations, GitHub workflows, code reviews, branching strategies, and large codebases.
Strong debugging skills and experience with integration testing are important. Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL is a plus. Experience implementing or integrating single sign-on and multi-factor authentication solutions is also beneficial, particularly with Okta, Microsoft Azure AD/Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, or SAML. Successful candidates bring sound software engineering judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing constructively to a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive web applications using React, following established architectural and quality standards. Design and implement backend functionality, GraphQL services, and REST API integrations using Node.js, Go, or Python. Query, transform, and work with data in BigQuery and relational databases, applying strong SQL practices and considering accuracy, performance, and maintainability.
Integrate applications with enterprise services and help deliver secure authentication flows, including SSO and MFA where required. Investigate defects across the frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers; identify root causes; and implement durable fixes. Write and maintain unit, integration, and other appropriate tests. Use GitHub for source control, contribute to code reviews, and follow team branching and release practices. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate work, document technical decisions, and deliver reliable features. Support existing systems and contribute to improving development workflows, code quality, and application performance.
