About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team within the Selling Partner Services organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated tools and systems that support Amazon's seller and consumer businesses. Your work will involve analyzing large datasets, designing scalable and reliable software solutions, and visualizing data insights that drive strategic decision-making. As part of our innovative environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to translate complex requirements into high-quality software products. Your contributions will directly impact Amazon’s ability to expand its product selection, optimize costs, and enhance overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in agile software development methodologies
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Experience with designing and developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, and system reliability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and working software solutions in collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and customers
  • Design and develop software products that influence multiple areas of Amazon’s business operations
  • Code, test, and debug system components; participate in code reviews and design discussions
  • Ensure high-quality code through comprehensive testing, including system, functional, and integration tests
  • Take ownership of end-to-end system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver results and meet project milestones
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to the technical culture, and support team growth
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve system design and operational efficiency
