2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Developer will lead the design and development of computer systems and application software, focusing on maintaining and modernizing legacy platforms while building scalable, robust solutions. This role is critical in stabilizing existing systems, migrating technologies, and advancing the adoption of modern software practices to support the organization's healthcare technology offerings.


3. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot legacy desktop client and backend services
  • Analyze complex clinical and billing business logic within legacy systems
  • Identify and resolve risks, performance issues, and architectural limitations
  • Improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability with focus on data integrity
  • Develop ASP.NET Core Web APIs to replace legacy services
  • Create intermediary .NET layers for compatibility during system transitions
  • Migrate and standardize databases from MySQL/MariaDB to SQL Server on Azure
  • Support Docker containerization for consistent deployments
  • Evolve Sitecore-based web components as needed
  • Manage Azure infrastructure for availability, scaling, security, and deployment
  • Enforce security best practices across legacy and modern services
  • Support FHIR API development and interoperability initiatives
  • Utilize GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaboration
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools to enhance workflows
  • Proactively identify and implement improvement opportunities


4. Requirements:

  • 6+ years as a Software Engineer or Full Stack Developer with hybrid legacy and modern tech experience
  • 6+ years using Git and GitHub workflows
  • 6+ years debugging complex production systems
  • 6+ years backend development in C# / .NET Core (ASP.NET Core Web APIs); Python or Node.js a plus
  • 4+ years navigating undocumented or poorly documented codebases
  • 4+ years SQL Server experience including migrations; MySQL/MariaDB migration experience preferred
  • 4+ years building and supporting RESTful APIs
  • 3+ years with authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT)
  • 3+ years with Microsoft Azure services and deployment workflows
  • 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
  • 2+ years with MySQL or MariaDB databases
  • 2+ years with Docker container deployments
  • 1+ year using AI coding assistants in daily development
  • Initiative and problem ownership with clear communication skills
  • Comfort with complexity, evolving environments, and pragmatic solutions


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • Salary range: 90K - 137K
