We’re working with a global technology business that provides mission-critical monitoring and dispatch software used across 20+ countries. Their platform supports everything from small monitoring centres to large control rooms managing critical infrastructure like banks, hospitals, and government facilities.

As the business continues to grow, they’re looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. This is a broad, hands-on engineering role working across a mix of C#/.NET, React, TypeScript, SQL Server and cloud infrastructure, with plenty of opportunity to get involved outside a narrow area of the stack.

The team is small, collaborative and fairly non-siloed. They’re open on level from a strong junior through to mid-senior, and care more about technical fundamentals, problem-solving ability and learning speed than someone ticking every technology box.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and maintain software used in high-availability, mission-critical environments
  • Work across backend, frontend, databases and cloud infrastructure
  • Develop predominantly in C#/.NET, alongside React and TypeScript
  • Contribute to new SaaS products and the continued modernisation of existing systems
  • Investigate and resolve production issues where reliability and uptime are critical
  • Take ownership of features and technical problems from design through to delivery
  • Contribute to architectural and development decisions within a small engineering team
  • Get exposure to AWS and cloud-hosted environments
  • Use AI development tools, including Claude Code, as part of the engineering workflow

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving ability
  • Solid backend development experience
  • Experience in C# / .NET, Java, or similar
  • Comfortable working across different areas of a product rather than being highly siloed
  • Experience working with production systems and debugging technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

  • C# / .NET experience
  • React and TypeScript
  • SQL Server or other relational database experience
  • AWS or Azure exposure
  • Experience with high-availability, resilient or mission-critical systems
  • DevOps / infrastructure experience
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot

Why Apply?

  • Meaningful work: Build software that supports critical monitoring and emergency response systems
  • Broad ownership: Work across backend, frontend, cloud and infrastructure rather than being boxed into one area
  • Modern engineering practices: Join a team actively experimenting with AI-assisted development
  • Strong team culture: Collaborative, social engineering team with a mix of experienced and newer engineers
  • Real autonomy: Good ideas are encouraged, and engineers are trusted to take ownership and run with them

If you’re a strong problem-solver who enjoys working across different parts of a system and wants more ownership than you’d typically get in a larger engineering team, this is a great opportunity to work on software where reliability genuinely matters.
