About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer Automation (m/w/d) to join our team at HAZEMAG & EPR GmbH in Dülmen. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and continuously enhancing innovative software solutions for our machinery and systems. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our product offerings, ensuring seamless operation and integration of automation systems across various projects. You will work closely with engineering teams to create and maintain software modules, develop custom solutions based on client specifications, and implement modern visualization and control systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of automation solutions—from conception and development to commissioning and validation—both in our manufacturing facilities and at international customer sites.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, a certified technician with relevant professional experience in custom machinery construction is also suitable. You should have several years of proven experience in structured PLC programming, commissioning, and optimizing machinery and systems. Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, electrical drive technology, and the handling of frequency inverters is essential. Additionally, you should possess solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA. Willingness to undertake occasional international travel is also required to support global project deployment and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and continuously improve innovative software solutions for HAZEMAG machinery and systems.
  • Create and maintain standard software modules, as well as develop customized software solutions tailored to specific client requirements.
  • Design and implement modern visualization systems to facilitate intuitive operation and monitoring of machinery.
  • Configure communication interfaces, establish cloud connections, and integrate database systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Participate in commissioning, testing, and validation of complete control and drive systems both in-house and at international customer sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation and operation phases to optimize system performance.
