About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Software Developer to join our team remotely or in a hybrid capacity in Denver, Colorado, or New York, New York. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and enhancing our enterprise health platform, contributing to the modernization of healthcare technology. You will work closely with senior developers, product managers, and designers in an
agile environment to build scalable, high-impact solutions that directly improve healthcare experiences for millions of Americans. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your technical skills while making a meaningful societal impact. As part of our innovative team, you will be responsible for designing, developing,
testing, and maintaining software components that support our health benefit management systems. Your contributions will help ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient healthcare technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and users.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Previous experience with Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Git version control and experience working with mono repositories is preferred
- Strong expertise in Python, particularly with Flask and SQLAlchemy frameworks
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend development
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL features such as CTEs, window functions, views, stored procedures, and indexing techniques
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and AWS, with a focus on security best practices
- Hands-on experience throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proven track record of delivering complex web applications to cloud environments
- Strong understanding of unit testing principles across multiple paradigms
- Experience working within microservices architectures and API-driven application paradigms
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve existing functionalities within the enterprise health platform
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code based on detailed design specifications and product requirements
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software releases
- Participate actively in planning, design discussions, and code reviews with product managers and designers
- Become a subject matter expert on your team’s products and contribute to knowledge sharing
- Adhere to best practices in software development, including security, scalability, and performance considerations
- Maintain documentation related to development processes, codebase, and system architecture
- Support deployment and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Engage in Agile/Scrum methodologies to facilitate iterative development and delivery
- Ensure compliance with the Capital Rx Code of Conduct and report any non-compliance issues
