Role Description

As a Junior Web Developer at Mun Empire, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and websites. You will work closely with senior developers to implement front-end interfaces, assist with back-end functionality, troubleshoot issues, and participate in code reviews. Daily tasks include writing clean and efficient code, testing features, updating existing pages, and collaborating with designers and other team members to deliver user-friendly solutions. This is a fully remote role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and foundational skills in Web Development, including basic understanding of both Front-End Development and Back-End Web Development.
• Proficiency in Programming fundamentals (such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one back-end language or framework).
• Ability to apply Web Design principles to create responsive, accessible, and user-centered interfaces.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic debugging and testing practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with modern frameworks (such as React, Vue, or Node.js) and knowledge of basic databases is an asset.
