Summary
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Recuro Health, you will play a key role in building and evolving our member-facing product across web and mobile. As a hands-on individual contributor, you will spend most of your time designing and writing code across the entire stack, taking features from concept to production. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to implement efficient, scalable, maintainable, and secure web applications and backend services. You will bring deep technical experience to the team, contributing to design decisions, sharing knowledge through code reviews and pairing, and helping ensure our products meet the highest standards in performance, security, and user experience.
Requirements
- -Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of sophisticated features and systems across our web and mobile applications and microservices, aligned with business goals
- -Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical designs and solutions
- -Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code across the stack, from front-end components to server-side logic to databases, adhering to best practices and company standards
- -Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture decisions, helping the team weigh tradeoffs in scalability, security, and maintainability
- -Debug, analyze, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system reliability and user experience
- -Build secure, well-tested software, with particular care for systems that handle protected health information
- -Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
- -Help identify technical debt and improve engineering processes, tools, and infrastructure
Required Skills
- -4+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on user-facing applications
- -3+ years of expert-level experience with React/React Native and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in other languages such as C#, Go, or Python
- -Experience designing, building, and evolving APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), including versioning and backward compatibility
- -Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations
- -Proven track record of independently delivering complex features or systems end to end
- -Solid understanding of application security principles (authentication, authorization, encryption, secure handling of sensitive data)
- -Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
- -Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous problems with minimal oversight
- -Even stronger interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Nice-To-Have Skills
- -Hands-on experience with observability tooling (e.g., structured logging, distributed tracing, alerting, or platforms like Grafana, Kibana, Application Insights)
- -Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.), including infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
- -Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling improvements
- -Experience contributing to performance, scalability, or reliability improvements in production systems
- -Understanding of telehealth, the healthcare industry, and healthcare technology standards and regulations (HIPAA, FHIR, HITECH, etc.)
Location Preferences
- This role is open to Remote, but our preference for an ideal candidate would be hybrid with at least one to two days in office each week to work directly with our Engineering Team in our Minneapolis Office.
Salary Range:
$120,000 – $140,000 per year, plus benefits and remote work flexibility.
