We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a healthcare technology organization focused on large-scale data interoperability, integration, and information exchange solutions. This is a full-time position offering a flexible hybrid work environment, with consideration given to highly qualified remote candidates. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience building highly scalable distributed systems, strong architectural leadership capabilities, and expertise within the Microsoft technology stack. U.S. work authorization is required. No visa sponsorship is available currently.

Responsibilities
Take a seniortechnical leadership role in the design, development, and scaling of largescale healthcare data exchange and integration platforms
Architect and build highly available, API-driven systems capable of supporting significant transaction volumes and complex interoperability requirements
Drive technical decision-making around system reliability, performance optimization, scalability, resiliency, and observability
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and implementation teams to deliver scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives
Lead design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions across multiple engineering teams
Mentor software engineers through technical guidance, design collaboration, and code quality initiatives
Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural designs, and implementation standards
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise-scale distributed systems and backend platforms
Deep expertise within the .NET ecosystem and modern software architecture principles
Experience designing and supporting high-throughput API-based systems with strong reliability and performance requirements
Strong knowledge of asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and distributed application design
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization technologies, and Kubernetes-based deployments
Strong understanding of observability practices including monitoring, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
Proven ability to influence architecture and technical strategy across multiple teams and projects
Experience within healthcare technology, interoperability, FHIR, HL7, IHE, or healthcare data exchange environments is highly desirable
Front-end development experience with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks is a plus but not required
Compensation
$170,000 - $195,000 + small annual bonus
