General Responsibilities:
The Junior Web Developer supports the E-commerce and Digital Marketing Department by developing, maintaining, and optimizing websites and web applications across Orascom Hotels Management’s digital portfolio. The role is responsible for implementing website enhancements, supporting platform maintenance, integrating APIs and digital tools, and contributing to the delivery of high-performing, user friendly digital experiences.
Duties:
• Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Implement features and functionality using meta frameworks like Next.js, understanding its main concepts and benefits.
• Utilize different rendering techniques such as Client-Side Rendering (CSR), Server Side Rendering (SSR), and Static Site Generation (SSG).
• Work with UI libraries and frameworks, including Tailwind CSS, to create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with the team using Git and GitHub for version control and project management.
• Integrate and work with headless CMS solutions, understanding their concepts and benefits.
• Consume and interact with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Working on maintenance of our websites (WordPress & JS framework), in terms of handling layout changes, code modifications, and optimization.
• A/B testing campaigns.
• Working on GTM server-side tasks.
Job Specifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in web development or a similar role.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Understanding of Next.js and modern rendering techniques (CSR, SSR, SSG).
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Git/GitHub, and API integration (RESTful/GraphQL).
• Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and PHP.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
