Job Description:

We're looking for a Backend Engineer with 3–4+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain the server-side systems that power our products. You'll work on scalable APIs, data pipelines, and core services, collaborating closely with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams.

Specific responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and manage relational and/or NoSQL database schemas and queries.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party services and internal systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features end-to-end.

Required Qualifications:

• 3–4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js, C#, or Ruby).
• Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Exposure to testing frameworks and TDD practices.
